GOAL NO.4 : QUALITY EDUCATION
For children living in developed countries such as New Zealand, education is a part of our daily lives yet in South and West Asia, 13.54 million children and 11.07 million children in the sub-Saharan do not get to complete their primary education. Education is an essential life tool that not only gives an individual a greater chance at a successful life-long career but also the ability to see the world with a greater sense of understanding. We often take schooling for granted without taking notice of the many children who would do almost anything to be able to learn. In order to achieve this global goal of ensuring quality education for everyone, targets have been set such as giving all girls and boys free access to fair, quality education by 2030 and increasing the amount of children and adults with relevant skills for employment and entrepreneurship. Quality education is a highly significant global goal because by giving everyone access to education, they can work towards employment or entrepreneurship that will provide them an income which will keep them out of poverty. Along with this, education plays an essential role in tackling other global issues such as pollution, poor health and wellbeing and climate change. |
